Something like 23 years ago I missed the bus (truthfully, the bus missed me, but lets not get sidetracked by technicalities) and ended up getting on a bus at Cheryl Kerpers house. It was an epic moment (and not just for the fact that I had to sprint up to the bus before it could drive away from me) - history was made that day. And every day since then. Some history wed rather forget (hello cowboy boots, jean shirts, and posing on the hood of a Camaro!), some history well never forget (all those moments spent laughing together, crying together, and just hanging out which usually led to one of the two), some history made for us by others (the brainiacs who thought it would be funny to scare a house of teenage girls and then run - yes Mom and Dad Im talking to you), some history we made for ourselves (the first apartment together and the fire departments definite confusion over the gear in the spare bedroom), and some history we wont mention since our parents still dont know about it (*cough*suburban*cough*). Ive said this every year for 23 years and Ill say it every year for a whole lot more than 23 more years.....Happy Birthday girl! I sure am glad that bus missed me. Love you and seriously couldnt live without you.
