Something profound a client shared me with yesterday. When we read - TopicsExpress

Something profound a client shared me with yesterday. When we read in 1 Corinthians 13 that love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. There, the last one Love keeps no record of wrongs. As His children, yes we are blessed beyond measure by the grace in this statement, our account book of wrongs was nailed to the cross, this we all acknowledge, but rarely do we accept the true meaning of this statement. As His children and His hands and feet, our love toward others should be the same, forgiveness and grace pouring out to others and holding no record of their wrongs. This too most of us recognize and prayerfully follow, but this is where it clicks deeper: if we are to love thy neighbor as thyself we are to hold no record of our own wrongs. If we give it to Him, as with anything, and repent (turn and walk a new way, back to His path) we are forgiven, can forgive others, and can grow through forgiving ourselves. Today I encourage you to lift up joyfully that which you may be holding on to. He can and will heal you, but he wont rip something from you. Trust in Him, knowing that with each pain and trial He is producing in you a renewed spirit. Praise Him for the seen and the unseen and watch what Love can do.
