Something spontaneous.. A young doctor got posted as RMO ( regiment medical Officer) in my unit. I being the junior most YO ( young officer) was told to receive the medical officer from the railway station. The doctor was serious types as i welcomed him in the station.. The Soldier who accompanied me wished him, Ram Ram Sahib The doctor immediately replied Amit Amit jawan I could not understand what happened. I asked him the strange way of answering the salutation Sir, said he, I saw his name was Ram Singh and when he wished me Ram Ram, I also told Amit Amit as my first name is Amit. I believe thats the unit tradition and I have been taught to keep the unit tradition flying high at all cost. All hell broke loose with me and I had to get treated from this same doctor for stomach pain due to extreme laughter..
