Something to chew on: During my deployment, I made significantly - TopicsExpress

Something to chew on: During my deployment, I made significantly less (calculated by overall pay divided by hours worked) than the new minimum wage that Seattle and other cities are getting. Tell me again why a burger flipper deserves $15 an hour when maybe only a handful of people in combat (including the tax free and hazard pay) make that much? My pay was roughly $10-12/hr going off of 16-18 hour days, not including missions etc that exceeded those hours. Im not complaining that I didnt make enough. Thats irrelevant and I dont care, I would do it for less. Im wondering why this sense of entitlement for more money to do a job deemed as minimum wage is felt nation wide? Its a sad state of affairs.
