Something to think about.... We read about people from other countries trying so hard to come to the land of freedom and opportunity. They often face their own mortality and are willing to risk life and limb against miles of ocean water, miles of desert even military or police action. Many people die trying to enter this great country for a better life. When they arrive here they face a language barrier, hatred, poverty and many challenges entering a country where others dont want them. They must overlook, racism, hatred and the very division of the people who live in this great nation legally. We are a nation that boasts and flaunts our many freedoms and yet we continue to fight for freedom of equality, race and religion. How bad must it be where these people leave to face all of these challenges? Dont ever take it for granted despite often being a divided nation at times, how good we really do have it here. Tomorrow is the last day to vote and be counted for an important election. You may think your voice is not heard but your vote matters. What attracts people of this nation to hold office? for some it is an opportunity to leverage the power of the government.....for others it may still be for the love of this country. Deciding what a candidates motives are nearly impossible. Campaigns are run on the evil motives of every opponent and not on the values of that politician who runs for office. Is there any reliable source for information on candidates? probably not....every media outlet seems to be biased. We have reason to be skeptical of any candidate because of it. Truth is always covered by a fog of bias in politics. It is our responsibility to educate ourselves the best we can and vote. If nothing else motivates you to vote.....think about those people who come here to have the freedoms we continually fight for. This is a great country even with our internal problems.....dont make it worse.....VOTE! Your voice matters.
