Something totally amazing happened yesterday. Our New Hampshire roommate Lee told me about a new resort opening here at Disney Called B...I had no idea what to expect when he called me from the job fair. I have worked for Disney for 18 years and watched resorts come and go. It was a one day job fair and my teaching contract in Tucson ends in less than a month so I said what the hell Ill get dressed up and see whats up. Bottom line: Top management from the Swan and Dolphin migrated there and when they saw my resume they kept me there for 3 and a half hours. They want me as a banquet captain at about $80,000 a year as I have been trained in their expectations which are like Four Seasons/Waldorf Astoria....As a team player I had my choice and I told them banquets as they need people who need little direction and can direct this new staff in their five star expectations....Lee was hired in the restaurant....me in banquets.....I have to stay until Tues/Wed/for paperwork and then...back to Arizona. All of my coursework is now online and I will have to fly back once a month and that is ok..... am truly blessed....
