Something which is becoming a very rare sight these days. An X class leading a train, Long End First. (Or Long Hood first) 20 years ago crews wouldnt bat an eye if they had to drive one of these long first, but nowa days Its a topic of great debate among drivers. A personal favourite Loco class of mine and I will be sorely disappointed when they are finally withdrawn. X41 was first released into traffic in 1970 and has under gone many changes in its life. Most major one being the addition of a dunny on the long end in the 2000s. which gives it a very flat end ruining the once beautiful VR designing. about a year ago These locos were a very common sight nowa days they are mostly slave units on trains in the north west of the state. So to finally be able to see one leading a train was a wonderful expeirence. And its even better when you know the crew on the train ;) https://youtube/watch?v=PoYnOvhBJnU
