Something you probably didnt know about me. When I was a lad 14-20 I was a huge skateboarder. This started in the days of clay and steel wheels. Think Banana boards early 80s. When I got my first wood board, a few years later. with rails, encased German bearings, sand paper deck top and most importantly... polyurethane wheels, the first thing my friends and I did was look for the tallest hills we could find. We would lay down on the board, face 9 inches from the street with a large rock in both hands and fly down the back streets of Santa Cruz with someone in my car coasting behind us to clock our speeds. Yeah... it was dumb. Clocked over 45 mph on a short board with rocks for brakes... (didnt always end well.) It was a blast.
