Somethings happen that are simply heart rending. Recently, the Lagos state govt. rounded up some Igbo people they referred to as destitute, bundled them into buses escorted by NIGERIAN policemen and dumped them in Onisha close to the Niger River despite the fact they are not ALL from anmambra State. Nigeria is a very complex country and our leaders should be very circumspect in taking decisions that could be so easily MISUNDERSTOOD. Things are so bad that if an Igbo armed robber is shot by a Yoruba policeman, some people actually begin to wonder if he was shot for reasons other than armed robbery. It is that bad. A couple of months ago I was at the Lagos state ministry of health and I told some staffers that Fashola was gradually turning Lagos into a police State where a driver could be jailed for 3 years just for missing his way. Fashola claims to be a progressive but he is currently giving new definition to FASCISM. I have never heard of anywhere in the world where people are deported from one part of the country to the other. Propagandists in igboland (there are very many of them) will feast on this and make life very difficult for any politician from the East that associates with Fashola or his party. He just provided them with enough ammo. It is sad for some of us trying to shake PDP out of our lives. Fashola has shown that he is a very naive politician. Its a PITY!
