Sometime back I had mentioned about projecting our Pension - TopicsExpress

Sometime back I had mentioned about projecting our Pension Situation to the pension department of GoI, Some others did do the job. Now I got a message on my mobile that the problem stands solved and when I went to the site to find the details, this is what I got, reproduced hereunder: Registration Number : DARPG/E/2014/00303 Name Of Complainant : N SRINIVASAN Date of Receipt : 17 Jan 2014 Received by : Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Forwarded to : INDIAN BANKS ASSOCIATION Contact Address : DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE, INDIAN BANKS ASSOCIATION WORLD TRADE CENTRE COMPLEX, CENTRE 1, 6TH FLOOR, CUFFE PARADE, MUMBAI400005 Contact Number : 02222174040 Grievance Description : I am a retired bank officer, retired in March 2001 under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme. 1. Bank employees retired before 2002 are not being compensated with 100% DA neutralization. The employees retired after 2002 are being given the benefit due to a Bipartite Agreement. Our loss in pension due to this is about Rs.2,000 to 5,000 per month. 2. In other government pension schemes, as and when pay scale revises, pension also gets revised, their basic pension being refixed. This is called updation. Updation is not there in the banking industry. So, a Manager retired long back is receiving less pension than a recent pensioner served as a Peon. 3. The 10th Bipartite Settlement Talks for wage revision have just begun, and the progress is very slow. The previous Settlement expired long back. Our working unions have placed our above demands along with other reasonable demands in improving the Pension Scheme. I request you to help us in getting justice to this large group of Senior Citizens of Bank Pensioners, by putting suitable questions in the Parliament and by using your good office. With regards and blessings from bank pensioners, N.SRINIVASAN a retired Manager of CANARA BANK Current Status : CASE CLOSED Date of Action : 14 Mar 2014 Details : AS PER IBA REPORT DATED 14.03.14:THERE IS NO PROVISION IN THE BIPARTITE SETTLEMENT FOR THE SAME cASE CLOSED AT OUR END. look at the reply given by IBA - it is time to bell the cat (unfortunate that we have to demean the cat which is a wiser animal as compared to IBA). No ill feelings. However reactions welcome for keeping the subject alive. Please react.
