Sometime soon coming to SC Legislature we will see the Open carry train pull into the station. Conducting this train is not folks who are really realistic nor acrually concerned with anything but making a name for themselves and their alterante campaigns. Do not be fooled when the less then well guided try to imply folks who you know have a good record of being pro-gun are actually anti-gun rights. Teh big problem is this is an elction year and one bunch of squirrels wants to prove they are such champions of gun rights when in fact they are just pawns in a game. I am pretty sure that a few of our actual chapions are going to vote no Open Carry before it gets to the full bosy of the legislature and I do not fault them for this. Open Carry is a more upsetting thing to more folks then CWP in nice eating places, or ammo protection, or SLEDs screwing with us, or even opposing Obama Care. After dealing with many nut jobs who live in a fantasy world of anything goes for years here I hope the folks who want open carry can have the kind of patience the rest of us have had, Open Carry is a cultural thing. In Arizona it is considered normal as it is in North Carolina where i am from orginally. But if you ask most folk in NC they have no idea it is legal to open carry whereas folks out west just assume it is normal. Here in SC it is not considered normal although they do consider CWP normal. I would like folks to not call names nor make threats that devide the gun rights folk at a time of such strong feelings nationally. I am sure some losers will sit in on meetings and make faces and then lie about what they think they heard like one certain fellow from Columbia does all the time. Lets focus on real issues that threaten our gun rights now. Let the show boats who have another agenda then our real one amke speeches and call names. If nothing else I would remind you that under FEderal law a candidate is allowed to draw the salary of his or her intended office. This salary can only be drawn from campaign funds if that person get a certain percentage of the vote, wins a primary, etc. Jesse jackson has done it, Al Sharpton has done it and even that little KKK guy who ran from president. As they said in the Movie, show me the money and i will show you what folks are really up not what they say they are up to. Anyone come to mind that is deep in debt and has not got a chance in hell of winning and while running is being paid a salary by you SC tax payers while he is ignoring his elected job right now?
