(*) Sometimes #Allah #humbles us by bringing us to our knees by breaking our #arrogance. (*)It was the act of humanity, giving and wanting for others what he would have wanted for himself that made the Prophet (Sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) so beloved by his companions and by billions of people throughout time. Never has history witnessed a man leave a mark in the hearts of his followers to such an extent as the Prophet (Sallal laahu alayhi wasallam) did! Ali (r.a) was once asked, How much did the companions (r.a) love the blessed Prophet (s.a.w)? He replied, By Allah, the Prophet (s.a.w) was more beloved to us than our wealth, our children and our mothers. And he was more beloved to us than a person craving water out of thirst. (Stories of the Sahabah pg 193) Once, a person came to the blessed Prophet (s.a.w) and said, Oh Prophet (s.a.w) of Allah, I love you so much that whenever I think of you, I cannot rest in peace until I come and see you... (Stories of the Sahabah pg 197) During the time of the Prophet (s.a.w) Bilal (r.a) was appointed to call the Azhaan for prayers in the mosque of the Prophet (s.a.w) in Madinah. After the Prophet (s.a.w) passed away, Bilal (r.a) could not bear living in Madinah, as it reminded him of the Prophet (s.a.w). Unable to bear the memories, he left to go live in Syria. He came back after 20 years and the people insisted he give Azhaan but he refused as it too brought back memories of the Prophet (s.a.w). Eventually he gave the Azhaan and people came flooding out of their houses in tears, thinking that the Prophet (s.a.w) was alive and would lead them in prayer as it was Bilal who would always call the Prophet (s.a.w) for prayer through his Azhaan. Even though the people knew he (s.a.w) had passed away, it was them clinging on to a small glimmer of hope...any type of hope...something...anything! Say, (oh Muhammad s.a.w to the people) if you love Allah, then follow me (The Prophet) and Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is most-forgiving, most-merciful. (Surah Aali-Imraan verse 31) (*)Ya Rabb; I always felt that to feel empty is to have nothing. Yet I am surrounded by everything. So why is this heart bare and why does my soul not even care? They used to be in sync but now theyre miles apart; distanced by a tear. My heart so hollow; like a cave found amongst the seven seas; filled with only an echo. Like a flower wilts day by day, My heart remains an empty cave, echo-less; for the soul has nothing to say. When you seek the heart you seek the soul; For the soul is what fills the hearts empty hole. Like water that will make rose petals bloom again; The soul is water for the heart but mine seems to not fill the heart but drain. And this is the problem from which you can find a solution: If the soul is taking the wrong fuel how will it make our heart bloom? The fuel is Iman; Without it would be a dying heart just existing within man. Where Iman should have quenched my hearts thirst, My Nafs took its place; filling it up like a balloon - so light yet so easy to burst. And guess what? It did burst. Before I could take its air away; The Dunya reached there with a shiny needle first. And my heart did not gain from the burst as it was already dying of thirst. Iman. Feed your heart with it until it drips with the blood of faith. Iman. Quench your hearts thirst with it so that when it weeps, it only sheds tears of sins. Iman. Fill your heart with it the same way our lungs fill themselves with air. So that if our heart filled with Iman would ever burst; it would burst only with the will of Allah - not with the needle of the Dunya that would cause the heart a deep tear. Iman. Spend sleep-less nights in search of it and the long days in awe of it. For what use is a heart without Iman? When it is those Iman filled hearts that Allah will seek in the Akhirah; When it is those Iman filled hearts that Allah will want to abide with in Jannah. (*) Ash-Shaafi - The Healer They say time is the best healer, But I would have to disagree. Because time doesnt allow you to forget, It just buries the wound inside; allows it to set. The pain that was so fresh before, like a deep cut, clearly seen. Becomes a scar within time, a reminder of what had once been. Give it time, they say. It will soon be okay. But who has time? I say. When time is the one tick tocking our lives away. Yet this pain grows stronger day by day. Give it to Allah, I say. For He is the best Healer. Give what to Allah? Your pain. And in exchange He will gift you with that with which you can gain. You give your pain to time in the hope that it can heal. But time just conceals, it can never seal. The scars will remain. And time itself cannot stop them from bursting open the way it cannot stop clouds burst with rain. Rather than waiting for time to heal you, Just give yourself to Allah and see how at peace you feel, see how He heals your Ruh. Yes give yourself to Him; your whole self. Or your broken self. There used to be a time when I would wait for time itself. But I learnt that the secret of healing lies within Ar - Rahman Himself. A beautiful exchange of night tears, an aching heart, sincerely wept words and a mind full of worry with the gift of: Realisation. And that is the secret. A realisation so sweet yet deep that it closes up open wounds that still seep. A realisation that with pain comes gain; each scar seen or unseen wipes away sin after sin. The Dunya is like a red rose that attracts mankind; Beautiful yet deadly, with a line of thorns behind. The more we chase this rose like Dunya, the more we get pricked. Yet with each prick of a thorn; a sin is removed or a blessing born. How Merciful is Allah; although we bleed at our own hands and stab our own wounds; He heals and heals and heals. Know that time is not the best or the greatest healer; it is Ash-Shaafi. Let Him heal you. (*)“It’s easy to act pious behind a keyboard and a screen. Proving it with our actions is the real test. May Allah forgive us all.”Reminder first to myself then to others. (*)There is no privacy between you and Allah. From the seven Heavens, He knows what is in your heart, before it is in your heart.
