Sometimes I get notes from folks who are discouraged. All I - TopicsExpress

Sometimes I get notes from folks who are discouraged. All I can say is I get it. Today is a Zombie Apocalypse Day for me. (As in an apocalypse being CREATED by Zombies or The Asleep). The issue: much of the world is too eager to buy slick corporate PR in all its manifestations and too busy with life to do much about it. Are we in The Collapse? Im thinking so. Deep, fully body breathing is needed cuz just in the last 24 hours: 1- Prop 1 in Missouri won. It WON?? Seriously?? In response to local food sovereignty movements (ie local GMO bans) and other Ag related issues (like compassionate treatment of animals we eat), Large AG and chemical companies spent tons of money to confuse voters in a right to farm act that results in farmers losing their rights and now being opened up to being bought up by large ag interests. Seriously? When are we going to wake up to PR? 2- We have idiots writing about how processed junk food is good for us. bit.ly/V2oE4p 3- A formerly organic farmer who used to grow for Lundbergs and who is now in charge of CAs Ag pesticides writes about how good pesticides are for us. Sorry. Brian Leahy. Cant go there. bit.ly/1knsDEw What a disappointment. 4- The NRC is now doing a study on GMOs with all ProGMO shills. bit.ly/X2rFn2 5- Im interviewing farmers, seed folks, millers, transporters around the country about GMO contamination in organics and the NOSB wont do anything about it. Folks...things are f***ed up out there. 6- We have the situation in Lake Erie which is directly due to AG and much of it having to do directly with GMOs..the connections are complicated but essentially some of its explained here motherjones/tom-philpott/2014/08/toledos-tapwater-troubles-raise-hard-questions-about-our-ag-system and here civileats/2014/08/05/what-toledos-water-crisis-reveals-about-industrial-farming/ ...tired of so many links needed to switch to bitly...and it aint just in Lake Erie news.yahoo/dead-zone-gulf-mexico-size-connecticut-181202438.html 7- Seed Libraries are being shut down in Illinois and Pennslyvania to deter bioterrorism. Really? What are the implications of that? Sorry...tired of looking up urls and changing them to bitlys. Google it. And that, folks, is just SOME of my world in the last 24 hours. Dont even get me started on the Media campaign by Biotech that was on the list last week, and this. And thats not even touching the wars. The Trade Agreements. Fracking. Oil. All of it. Breathing is a good thing. Will we wake up in time? Are we too far along in the trajectory to fix things? Or slow them down to give time for the planet to heal? I dont know. Does this mean I/we stop? No. Does it mean that I work gently and with fierce focus on letting go and allowing the transition of life as I know and judge best for the planet? I think Yes. Feeling deeply in this moment. Things simply are as they are. Compassion for the isness. May this period of transition be surrounded by love and for the highest good of all, whatever that means. May we ALL land gently with those we love remaining close to us....whatever that means to each of us for our time here and our souls purpose. I continue a vision of a world that honors the Earth and All Beings with Loving Kindness (even when Im in the middle of my Kali moments, which I do so well :) ). Ok, then. Onward!
