Sometimes I think that modern life is incompatible to marriage as we knew it. With the business of daily living, the stress of performance in the workplace and the threat of solitude to which each individual is exposed, I ask myself if human beings can continue to live in that pace while telling oneself that things will eventually slowdown. In reality such statement, is a simple expression of denial. Or will one stop and analyze how to adapt married life and the Christian values on which it is built to an ever changing society. The 20th century with its self confidence and stability is gone. Today, the families must remain alert to the changes in the world. If not, the river of face paced life will lead one and his/her family to undesired shores.
