Sometimes I think we all see this and forget there are people who need this blood desperately. My Dad had 8 pints ordered for him the night he died. He never got to use one of those pints sadly but he was a rare blood group, and a man who had donated tens of pints of blood in his lifetime to help others in their fight for life. It takes you less than an hour to recover after giving blood and even if you are squeamish you can look away! x
