Sometimes, I think we tend to wake up and dread the upcoming day. - TopicsExpress

Sometimes, I think we tend to wake up and dread the upcoming day. I know I do, a lot. It could be because of an upcoming exam, dreary day, being sick with a cold or just being plain lazy. And then there are days like this when a man that had so much courage, passion and heart passes away, you open your eyes to the fact that so little of our daily problems mean anything. I never thought I would cry or be so heartbroken over a celebritys death, even with Robin Williams recent passing. But I grew up with Stuart Scott as the person that woke me up every morning for the past days sports highlights and wished me good night on TV as I went to bed. I almost want to say that he was the real reason why I love sports. But beyond his work as an ESPN anchor, I see the authenticity of Stuart, even in his battle against cancer. He wasnt just a guy that talked the talked but he actually walked it. This youtube video is his acceptance speech for the Perseverance award from the ESPYs this past year. I just watched and couldnt help but wonder if he himself had known he would be leaving us so soon. Would he still say what he had said? Even though I didnt personally know him, I can confidently say that he would. Stuart, youre a loving father, a beloved coworker (as seen from Rich Eisens and Hannah Storms on-air reactions to the news) and most of all, a God-fearing man. I can only pray that I can emulate you in the future. God Bless and I know youre up there in heaven, giving the ol- BOOYAH. So even if you dont care about sports or dont even know who Stuart Scott is, please watch this video. I hope that it can push all of us to utilize the time/gifts that are given to us even better. https://youtube/watch?v=K9cSX5XPY70&feature=youtu.be
