Sometimes good things happen just because people open their hearts to help others. Yesterday a nurse from Hardin Memorial called me with an unusual issue. An out of town older gentleman headed to Springfield Ky from Texas was admitted in the emergency room for stomach pain. They took him into surgery but before he went into surgery, he told the nurse of his dogs left behind in his UHaul truck. In the mean time, a special person who called EMS when he got sick at the Marathon Gas Station on 65 at the Upton exit, also called the dog warren to pick up the dogs. Yesterday 4 beautiful girls and 2 handsome boys were brought to us. Today they are happily waiting for their dad to get better. But Deb noticed that one of the females had given birth recently. The Good Samaritan at the gas station had taken the new born puppy in and nursed it thru the night not knowing the mother was in the group of dogs. Today the days old baby and its mother were reunited. Baby boy makes 7. We are thinking his name should be Upton.
