Sometimes how it has always been done is not the best. Sometimes, we as mothers, have to take time and throughly research things. Breastmilk vs formula, carseats, hospital birth or home birth, different pediatricians....one thing it doesnt seem like enough new moms research is circumcision. Take the time, this is a surgery and there are many more risks than there are benefits. Respect your childs right to their whole body. Circumcision is a cosmetic procedure, the hygiene myths have been busted time and time again. Circumcision for religious purposes violates your childs right to freedom of religion, you are enslaving your child to a faith they know nothing about by performing a blood ritual to your god that involves crushing, ripping, and slicing of your newborns most sensitive organ. Think before you decide to strip away your childs bodily autonomy.
