Sometimes life takes the most circuitous routes to get from point - TopicsExpress

Sometimes life takes the most circuitous routes to get from point A to point B. Keep the goal in mind, and stay open to what it looks like to get there. Yesterday, I was traveling home to North Carolina from Philly. Josh and I were leaving together, but unfortunately werent on the same plane because I was trying to buy the cheapest tickets possible. After seeing off a friend and seeing off Josh on their flights, I went to check in, and it turned out somehow, I had booked not two flights, but a train ride to an airport in New Jersey and a flight from NJ to NC! What? At first I was a bit flabbergasted, but then I just couldnt stop laughing about it. I prefer trains to planes anyhow, and was excited to enjoy some scenery. So I took the local train to 30th street station, hopped on a North-bound (!) train to Newark NJ, and got on the air-tran to the airport. I made it to the airport with plenty of time, and low and behold, at my gate was an incredible string trio jamming out (banjo, fiddle, and guitar). These guys were good! They were entertaining the whole gate! Everyone was clapping and buying CDs and telling them how they were making their day. Of course they were on their way home to Asheville. Anyhow, I made it home, amazingly getting off my plane at the same exact time as Josh, got back to the farm to incredible abundance, harvested lots of beauty, and cooked some Indian food for dinner. Enjoy the ride, especially when its not what youre expecting!
