Sometimes people dont want to change their opinions based on new information because they think everything theyve ever believed will fall apart. In fact, rather than respecting and admiring folks who are flexible and willing to think about new things, they often call them wishy-washy. Im a liberal, and I like new ideas and am willing to change my mind about things based on new information, so Ive been called WISHY-WASHY a lot. It used to hurt my feelings when I was younger, but now I see it as a compliment. ;)
