Sometimes the best things are worth waiting for and today we are delighted to be able to announce that the gorgeous Kallies wait for the best and perfect family is over. She has now left kennels after a long two years and will not be returning! We have always known that Kallie was a special girl and we had faith that eventually the special people would eventually discover her. It has been a huge commitment for us as a relatively small rescue to keep her kennelled all this time and we would like to thank all those who have helped us cover her kennelling and associated costs which, needless to say, have been fairly substantial for such a long-term kennel stay. It is only right also to publicly thank Northdale Veterinary Practice in Worthing and North Barn Kennels in Lancing for their care of our girl and for their patience over their bill payments. At the same time, Kallie may never have had this chance without Jess Lumbard and her commitment - Jess has walked Kallie as often as she was able around her own work and training commitments and then introduced Kallie to her own familys dogs and helped her to understand how to behave in a home with others competing for love and attention. Her wonderful new parents had this to say: Kallie first entered our lives and our hearts in February this year when we made a trip to Worthing to take her out for a walk. It was love at first sight! Since then we had seen Kallies updates and visits with Jess and Ted and because of this made the decision to try her with our dogs. After several weekend sleep-overs and spending a full week with us we have decided that there is no way our gorgeous girl is ever going back to kennels. We have only played a small part in the puzzle. Its thanks to Team Ilbrey K9 Partners and Kerry for saving her;the wonderful North Barn kennels for caring for her; Jess, Ted and family for taking the time to give her a chance to show how amazing she truly is; Ricky for all the advice;Esther for listening and supporting us all the way; our dogs for welcoming Kallie into their home, and of course Kallie for being Kallie! We love her to bits!! Thank you K9 Partners for all the work you do, not just with our Kallie, but every dog you give a second chance to. Ann.
