Sometimes the meaning of a song doesnt hit you fully until you are at the right point in life with certain experiences that unveil a deeper layer that you can connect with. All my life, Judas Priests Desert Plains off of Point of Entry has been one of my favorite metal songs, and getting back into guitar it is one of the songs Ive been learning for fun, but focusing in on the lyrics while learning to play it, I got an epiphany about what this song really is getting at. It is interesting especially as it uses a motorcycle metaphor, but Im going to write a full blog post about this one in what I got out of it, I think.
