Sometimes, theres simply no way to defend yourself without sounding defensive and triggering the lady doth protest too much, methinks responses. So you gotta step back, look at your own behavior and intention, look at the behavior and intention of your critics, correct where you need to, seek wise counsel of those you trust to reassure you if youre right and check you if youre wrong, and try again another day.
