Sometimes when I go out or watch talk shows, I overhear (young) men attempting to argue a moot point...saying things like, I take care of my kids, as if they expect a standing ovation & a Hallmark Channel movie. Single-parent households are extremely common these days, children are a choice (not their own), a gift, & a nearly two-decade responsibility often at minimum. There are plenty of excellent single-parent & two-parent households, as well as plenty of poor situations. But when you create a child/children, what the hell do you think youre supposed to do?! Its not a bragging point that you take care of your offspring; its supposed to be an automatic duty. Quit seeking attention for the wrong reason, little boys.
