Sometimes you have to trust the mother instinct in you .... yesterday my youngest who is quite sensitive and shy was VERY hesitant about her first day of Pre Prep .... I knew if I pushed her she would lose it and it would be a very bad start and would cause her to feel quite negative about Pre Prep .... we made a little bargain in the morning that we would go to her class, meet the teacher, see where everything was, see the kids and then she could come home just for the day as long as she agreed to go back tomorrow and stay for the whole day without mummy or daddy .... she agreed .... happy to say that she woke up this morning got ready for Pre Prep and went along .... she was very quiet but there were no tears and she never asked to stay home .... woohoo so relieved it started well she just needed some time and space to get us there .... I feel like i pushed my first daughter a bit more but am learning during this journey of being a mother to slow down, listen to my kids, talk to them, give them some space and time and we will get there and they all move and respond in such different ways :)
