Sometimes you just have to stand back & wait for the storm to see who people really are, and accept that as the truth.. and be grateful you were able to see the their true colors rather than continue to be in the presence of company thats not on YOUR team.. There will never be a time you should have to expect a friend to choose sides. What you can do, is expect them to not sit by and listen to anyone attack your character, spread lies, or talk about you behind your back. A friend defends your character in front of you AND in your absence. A friend says the same things to you as they do when they are speaking for you. When this doesnt happen, you find yourself questioning the realness of your friendship & their loyalty. If you have to question anyones loyalty, you need to question why that person is even still in your circle.. and change that, asap.
