Somewhere in the hazy, foggy wet dew of the unseasonably cool - TopicsExpress

Somewhere in the hazy, foggy wet dew of the unseasonably cool morning this past Friday, my friend, whom I lovingly called my red headed step child found his way free from his pain-ridden body, and his spirit slipped away. Finding he now had massive white wings, Hayden Michael Brock flapped them a few times before stroking them mightily enough that his feet left this dark, painful, often cruel world. Hayden is still here with me in a way I feel.... while I was shooting pool tonight at the Cave I grinned to myself when I thought about a joke he told me... and laughed out loud at the memory of some of his stand-up comedy routines.... No, Hayden would not want to see these tears on my face, so I shall hide them away. He was a true~blooded, 100% without a doubt, all of Norwegian/Viking/Irishman blood. Hayden met death like a man of twice his years, and showed not one single moment of fear. I pray Odin allow me just a small fraction of the bravery this young warrior had throughout his fight with cancer, and on the morning when he finally slipped away. I miss you, man. Will hang the Native Arrow you made over the baby s crib in his room. This family loves you very much. We always shall.
