Songs That Mean Something To Me #3 - KISS CMon and Love Me. I would be rewriting my musical history if I did not acknowledge KISS. Imagine a time before reality shows, streaming of every bit of concert footage, online interviews....musicians used to seem mysterious. KISS seemed like superheroes. Forget that now their personalities/interviews make me a bit nauseous and go back to the mid-70s. I came back from living overseas where there was no access to American culture, and while walking through Sears in that first year back, I saw a KISS album on the shelf. It seemed scary and dangerous and I had to have it. When I listened to their music it felt decadent and powerful. I remember I hid my first KISS record from my parents because I thought they would object. When they heard it I remember feeling disappointed because they said they thought it was kind of bubblegum. In time, I discovered they were right. Either way, it formed a big part of my younger years and this song was always a nostalgic favourite. https://youtube/watch?v=DiC_ZOtfP1c
