Sonic games always get better than each other and then something just comes up to ruin the consistently improving series. Only to restart it all. Sonic 3D Blast killed the effort the previous few built up but Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 as well as the Advance series all got better than the last (debatably) but we all know what the mid-2000s brought. Then after that thing we started seeing pretty good games again like 50% of Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, Colours and Sonic 4 (debatably again). Now the cycle starts anew.
