Soo League Kit. I want to be able to turn up next event with all my own kit and not have to borrow anything, buttt budget is limited, my sewing skills are nil and my historical fashion sense is generally poor (good choice of nation for me, I know). I know there are cheap ways to get basic stuff like leggings and big fancy shirts from second hand shops/high street shops but what about the big parts of a costume? Like the doublets and jackets. Are there good places to source these second hand or off the peg? Or is the only real option to commission a piece from someone?
