Soon it will be time for the members of the Blackfeet Tribe to come together to start the effort of constitutional change. We must, as members take it upon ourselves to educate by reading the existing constitution. Challenge your family and friends to do the same. Start discussing the changes you would like to see and then attend the upcoming meetings to actually assist in the process. Remember the people are gathering to restructure the government, this is not about changing membership requirements. Big difference. I have stated many times (to a certain individual, who expressed concern) on the blackfeets who want change page, that I would not work on the constitution. Mainly, because of my previous involvement with enrollment. I do not want our efforts at constitutional reform to be derailed by lies and propaganda. My roll will be minimal. I will offer technical assistance, donating paper, food, whatever other support, in addition to helping with the educational portion. Please get involved, in whatever capacity you see fit. This is an exciting and great time for the people. And yes it makes me sad that I have to put out a disclaimer.
