Soooo.... The light bulb over the stove blew and my wife, being the generally independent sort, removed it and began the tedious rotating insertion of the new bulb. At this point things began to go horribly wrong. She lost her grip on the bulb which was immediately seized by gravity and tugged sharply downward. It bounced off the edge of the cast iron skillet on the stove, ricocheted off the corner of the cabinet and landed on the floor where it spun around on its top like it had entered an 80s break dancing contest. It was then picked up and put carefully in place where it functioned perfectly. At least a years good luck wasted on a burned out light bulb.
