Sooooo I am back in Nairobi Kenya after 5 Days in South Africa!!! Every time i travel to other parts if the earth other then Kenya; My world becomes smaller.... I embrace fully the place i visit, the environment and the people i meet; bonds created to last an eternity; hearts and minds altered; souls enlarged and spirits lifted!! Every time a visit a place; i enter a stranger to land not my own... I leave a person of that environment to a land i can call my home.... I went to South Africa expecting to network; but when i stepped into the Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park; and then the BIG DOME of the Summit, the energy, the atmosphere!!! I knew i would leave here with so much more and i did!!! Yes i Met a giant of a man in height and in heart named Kingsley Holgate of the Kingsley Holgate Foundation who looked like Gandalf :D amazing man!! look forward to working with him!! i met a great Man, a kind man; after one car ride with him i asked: Have you ever met someone who reminds you of a friend? not a friend like you remind me of john but just some of who reminds you of a friend? well you remind me of a friend he must have though i was crazy lol only to find out later he was Chris Galliers - Chairman of the Game Rangers Association of Africa! But we are now great friends indeed!!! Dr. Wiliam Fowlds a celebrity vet in SA moving presentation about how he watched a rhino he was very close with die and the commendable work he does... A Zulu warrior dancer Richard Mabanga who shook my hand and said: Thank you for that after a my speech that followed a standing ovation! Dr. Paula Kahumbu who was phenomenal and with her not only did we represent our own organisations but KENYA as a whole; we proved that Kenya has sooo many amazing people who shall lead us to a better improved world!! I met two amazing young ladies; Jules Murray 11 years old raising millions in KSH for Rhino conservation in SA such a gorgeous soul she is!! and the beautifully amazing Olivia Taylor founder of Four Elements Conservation check it out!! A lovely fierce Vietnamese lady Trang Nguyen 24 year old who founded WildAct Vietnam she was brilliant and helped bring a delegation of youth from Vietnam who supposedly 3 fell in love with me, so if all works Vietnam her we come! lol :) Meeting a friend Carol Harnwell (International Relations Officer at Rhodes University and a passionate human being) who who for 2 years plus had followed my work on Facebook from south africa, when we finally met; she broke down in tears... and thats when my worth was fortified in gold!! she supported me for two years; without meeting me; and upon meeting me her tears said it all!! I thank her for everything; the strength and love!! And then the best part!! The 150 + Youth Delegates that came from all over the world!! 20 countries!! Such amazing people; we bonded so quickly! The energy, the passion, the drive the creativity and the humanness was just perfect!! They welcomed me hands open as if we had all known each other for years, they let me into their bubbles that i happily blew up and let them see the bigger picture of life; they embraced me and for many reasons but mainly it was because of them that i felt so sad to leave South Africa! To leave the summit!! And an Elephant who walked us home every night i have now named: Umhlahlandlela which in zulu means The Guide :) but thats another story :D I can write more and more but for now that is all i will say about the World Youth Rhino Summit! Thanks to Grant, sheelagh, and all that made it a successful summit!!! It was an experience i will cherish forever; glad to have gotten to let so many people from all over our earth know what Stand Up Shout Out does and see them fall in love with it!! and i cannot wait to use what i have learnt, the growth i have made to better and improve our societies. An full on SA Tour is in the works thanks to the bonds made at this summit and the appreciation!! Never forget your self worth! We must start to realize that we should start joining the dots... in the sense that most problems in the world are global problems... so they need global solutions; global efforts... from people like me and YOU! #TheGenerationOfLight #StandUpShoutOut #Ubuntu #WeAreTheSolution
