Soooooo the supposed meteor storm of the year turned out to be a quiet evening. I stayed up until 1:30am and saw nada. I set my camera up to take 30 second exposures until it died. The time-lapse video is a compilation of 345 pictures over the course of the morning starting at about 1:45 am. Each photo is a 30 second exposure which makes this one minute video a 3 hour snapshot. The pictures were enhanced to show any faint light sources such as shooting stars. The camera was aimed about 10 degrees from polaris to try and capture as many steaks as possible and its also why the stars rotate around that point. The stationary stars you see in the video are actually hot pixels on the sensor because of the long exposures and the enhancement. As you can see Jim Noetzel, not a single streak.....
