Sooooooo ....Today .....we all went to Bountiful for Marlenes Grandsons Going Away Talk before he leaves for his 2 year mission In Oklahoma City....and President Henry B. Eyring who is the First Counselor to President Thomas S. Monson..... was there as he lives a few houses from the Ward House and right across the street from Marlenes Daughter.......Her Grandson spoke very eloquently....and shared some very touching stories ....and then President Eyring gave closing comments and advice on being patient as well as not giving up on people...... ....Afterwards President Eyring came over and shook Marlenes hand as he had attended school with Marlene.....and a moment later she tapped him on his shoulder and introduced me to President Eyring ...I told him how I enjoyed his talk....and very much agreed as it took 35 years of Missionaries to get me to finally Convert and be Baptized......He chuckled and agreed we should never give up....especially on people......
