Sorrow: No longer can I hold her hand as we travel the narrow - TopicsExpress

Sorrow: No longer can I hold her hand as we travel the narrow road. No longer can I touch her brow as I did on the day of her departure. Yet still I can remember the touch of her hand, the touch of her brow The pleasantry of running my finger across the palm of her hand The sorrow of that last stroke which forever binds us. We set out on a path of glorious expectations We weaved a life of joy and sadness We looked forward to the day when we would rest in our golden years And now I have been set on a course without her. How can that be? How do I continue on? For the Lord give’th and the Lord take’th away. To that end he gave me the love of my life that I may live To that end he took her, for her time upon this earth was finished. He left me here to accomplish that which I do not know. The pain starts in the gut then slowly works its way through the lungs. It twists and churns as it proceeds through the stomach and knots up into a ball The upper torso swells as the blood rushes to the head The brain ignites memories of days gone by The rivers of tears are expelled from the eyes until all emotion is spent. Drained and unsure of what road to select next the mind selects a course The body follows for it has no choice. One can only hope that the path selected will lead to a successful end. Yet! What is success? How can one determine that the path is correct? We are left to turn to our only source of comfort. Lord please show me the way!
