Sorry Guys, but I need to sound off a little bit. I am getting a little sick of the crap I am seeing out of a group or two posting about concealed carry classes and prices. If you are an NRA instructor, you have the right to charge whatever you would like for your course. After all, it is your time that you are spending to teach people, and you are delivering the product. If you believe your product is worth $85, then by all means, charge that and try and convince people to pay you. What is NOT ok, is to mislead people into thinking that your course is the only one that does the trick. With that being said, this is a public service announcement, and I would like all of those who are NRA instructors to chime in and add credibility… The state of West Virginia DOES NOT require that you take an 8 hour NRA course to get a CCW permit. In fact, the truth is, you don’t have to have an NRA course at all. Any course taught by an NRA instructor will suffice. This includes the 3-4 hour NRA First Steps course. Now.. will you generally get a proven product with an NRA course? Yes, but this is not guaranteed either because it is relative to the instructor. But…being an NRA instructor carries with it some responsibilities, and one of them is to not act like the current Presidential Administration and mislead people, using fear tactics to scare them into giving you their money. Earn it.. be honest, and help people get better at arming themselves. The average cost of an CCW class is $50-$60. Just sayin!
