Sorry I kind of dropped off the face of the earth, but I kind of dropped off the face of the earth. A week before Christmas, I got the flu. Kept getting worse and worse, and started new meds the night before Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve morning at 4:30, I got out of bed to get a drink of water. Got dizzy and made it to the kitchen table and sat down. Thats the last thing I remember before waking up in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor to Hubby yelling, Oh my God, please wake up. Long story short, I was unconscious, landed on my face, and made a mess of it. Rode to the ER on a body board (cant recommend it; wicked spasms) and they took good care of me. Apparently, I dehydrated and my blood pressure bottomed out. Ended up with some stitches, a black eye, black and blue nose, jaw, chin, left knee and right thumb. A goose egg on the back of my head, a scraped right temple and torn up right thumb. I have no idea how one injures both sides of the body, front and back. Best I can figure is I bounced. No memory of the fall, and grateful for it. Flu is now gone. Still have a lot of pain in the face and mouth, but Im upright. Today is the first day Im in the office, and Im worn out after two hours, so Im heading back to bed. Every tradition was broken this year, but Im upright and not toes up, so Im not complaining. Hubby is still having nightmares about finding me unconscious on the floor. He thought I was dead, and says I wasnt breathing until he started yelling. I believe that because its the first thing I remember. I drank so much fearing dehydration its hard to imagine that caused this, but it did. That and extremely low blood pressure. Still monitoring that and making sure I dont deplete the salt in my body. Thats an issue for me because I dont much like salt and have to add it to my diet when I drink nonstop. Were planning Christmas with the angels on Saturday. Im praying everyone is well and we can actually do it. Prayers and kind thoughts much appreciated.
