Sorry, Im gonna rant for a second. I am so sick of seeing things like this posted on Facebook....I feel like I have to say something. Anyone who knows me knows Ive always worked hard to provide for myself and for Dalton. For 11 of those years, I worked for Walmart. I was paid a wage that was fair and had good health insurance. Could I make it on that wage alone? Nope. so what did I do? got an education/certification in another field, worked my hind parts off, and worked my way out of my job there. guess what though?! While I was there, they payed me for my work. I had a job that I sorely needed. More importantly Walmart was not responsible for my circumstances. I didnt deserve to be paid more because I ended up a single mother, Walmart didnt decide that for me. my choices in life led me to where I was. Im one of many people that have had a job thru the years because of Wal-Mart. Im thankful!!! things are not going to change in America until we go back to realizing nobody owes us anything but the OPPORTUNITY to better ourselves. the pursuit of happiness is what the Constitution says...not happiness wrapped up in a bow paid for by somebody else just because they have plenty of money. Walmart is a perfect example of the American dream. A gentleman started a company, worked hard his whole life, his family worked hard right beside him. now they have a buttload of money! good for them!! you want what they have? Stop whining, go out and do it yourself! That is all. Btw...the one time I applied for food stamps I was working part time at Walmart and had Dalton. I got turned down because I made too much money.
