Sorry dear detractors! APP is getting better. These 7 days, - TopicsExpress

Sorry dear detractors! APP is getting better. These 7 days, particularly the last 72 hours were full of dark rumours and negative whisperings about the Aam Adami Party, its key leaders and final future. We were forced to hear and read so many definitive details about the phenomenal rise and fall of AAP from all kinds of known and unknown detractors of anti-corruption movements. A 17 months wonder! A big bubble which is evaporating. A group of irresponsible hit and run activists. Rebels in search of a cause. A band of urban Maoists being led by an egoist anarchist. There was an endless shower of lies and filth by self appointed political Pundits and well financed media icons. A group of quarrelling megalomaniacs. A rootless wonder which was launched and then pulled down by media Mughals. Then came the press conference of the national convener Shri Arvind Kejriwal at 5pm on 8th June to report to the anxious nation about the resolutions of the three days deliberations of the national Executive of AAP. Oh Arvind ji! Hello Yogenda ji and Manish ji!! It was such an anti-climax. Why did you look so calm and composed and moreover relaxed and confident. You just informed about the launch of Operation Vistaar. It is supposed to fulfill the need of creating a robust organization by inclusive restructuring of all its bodies from the district committees and state councils to the National Executive and PAC. Then media was told about rejection of three resignation letters after sincere introspection. It also confirmed that there will be expansion of the National Executive and Political Affairs Committee. Furthermore, there was congratulation to Shri Narendra Modi for becoming the Prime Minister of India and leading a strong alliance in power. It was also an occasion to appeal to the central government to assure that there will be no increase in gas prices to keep the promise of controlling price rise and an effective SIT to end the menace of Black Money. The political resolution expressed anguish about increasing insecurity of women around the country and new attacks on Muslims including killing of an engineer in Pune. So, after all, the prophets of doom were so far away from the realities of a growing process of alternative politics and evolving organization for new politics of participatory democracy. Can we ask ‘why’? While returning from the venue of the AAP meeting, it was logical to remember the following beautiful lines of Ghalib: Suna Tha Aaj Ghalib Ke Urenge parache. Dekhane Hum Bhi GayeThe, Magar Tamasha Na Hua!
