Sorry for the late update everyone. The surgery went as planned. They sliced it away, then sutured, then cauterized it to seal it so it wouldnt bleed so much into my mouth. The healing is brutal though. After all the pain I went through before, youd think this one wouldnt be that big of a deal, but its a killer. I cant swallow, I cant spit, I cant talk, so Im just reduced to drooling into a cup. The doctor decided that my sleep apnea was so bad he wouldnt give me any narcotics for pain because it could cause an event in my sleep. So thats why I say, this healing is just brutal. They didnt have to remove a large portion of the tongue, but they removed enough that Im going to notice from here on out. We should get the results back on Monday. Either way, no matter what it is, its been cut out. I would like to ask for prayer, asking that the pain ease up to a tolerable level. Its pretty severe right now. Since Lynn has Power of Attorney already, he says hes going to have a little talk with my Dr. about the pain relief issue tomorrow. Maybe hell have better luck than we did today when we asked him for pain relievers before we left. Thanks everyone. Ill try to keep checking in as much as I can. Love to all of you!
