Sorry for the late update, still trying to get healthy. I not only met with Senator Slom but he referred me to Senator Chun Oakland who has more to do with the health committee on NBS. She advised me that Hawaii has their own committee to adopt NBS, much more streamlined than on the Mainland, and it is also, like California, waiting for the RUSP recommendation. But hey, at least it is now on their radar.
