Sorry to be a party pooper but horses in the racing industry are treated like disposable items and it makes me livid. These people cant afford a vet? And cant be bothered to rehome a horse that can no longer race? Apparently half of all horse meat exported from Australia is from race horses...verified by the branding they carry. The racing industry should be ashamed. After learning some of the things I have learnt today I will never participate in Melbourne cup celebrations again. Didnt today by accident (forgot it was even on). Wont in future by choice.
