Sorry to be mia for most of yesterday and today. My neck has been - TopicsExpress

Sorry to be mia for most of yesterday and today. My neck has been a read issue for me that past few months and I have been trying to rest it as much as possible lately. A dreary drippy wet day here in central Pa. a great day to have the new kitchen cabinets delivered. Yes!!! The kitchen cabinets are here!!! The contractor stopped by this morning to help be receive them, check for all the correct parts and for any possible shipping damage. The appliances and a few parts for the bathroom will be delivered on Jan. 30th. And the contractor himself will start the project the middle of next week!! He said He has use schedule for completion by March!! Hurray!!! Now I really need to start preparing for MIL to move in and for me to become her main care giver. I will say I am getting a better understanding of what will be required of me and what her needs are. We need to get her moved as soon as we can, her cognitive abilities are steadily going down hill. While physically she is quite fine, she can do all requirements for daily living and hygiene. She just cant remember what they are. She will wear her nighty all day, simply because she is not sure what she is suppose to do. She gets confused over simple things. Imagine getting up in the morning and not knowing what your are suppose to put on your feet to keep them warm. Or wearing your nighty all day because you just simply do not know what else your are suppose to wear? The other day she put on two pairs of shorts and a sweater. She lost her slippers, they were in the pouch on her walker. She misplaced the lancer for checking her blood sugar, now we need to buy a new one cause no one knows wear it is. I am quickly learning that when she does move in, I will no longer be working outside the home, she will require all my care. Update of Charlotte, she is doing very well. Eating and drinking normally, and scratching her bandage so much that I can no longer get her to keep it on. So I give up on that, but I will still keep Neosporin on it till I can get some organic honey. The camera for spying on the flock should be delivered in a day or two. That I am looking forward to!!! That will go a long way toward calming my nerves for sure. I think I will get a few more predator lights as well for when I order the first flock of broiler chickens. Thank you all for listening to me as I ramble about stuff. I should warn you that I will be posting about such things for a long time to come. For that is the daily life of this WannaBeaFarmer. I am truly blessed that anyone should be interested in my little farm. Thank you all, Blessed be )0(
