Sorry to hear about Seamus Heaney I met him once and the only - TopicsExpress

Sorry to hear about Seamus Heaney I met him once and the only thing i could rise to say was to tell him we shared the same birthday. He answered, saying we were both minstrels but that I sang the notes so much more sweetly. I choked, at a loss of what to reply with. I was never good with words....not like him. A rowan like a lipsticked girl. Between the by-road and the main road Alder trees at a wet and dripping distance Stand off among the rushes. There are the mud-flowers of dialect And the immortelles of perfect pitch And that moment when the bird sings very close To the music of what happens. Seamus Heaney - Rest In Peace
