Let us pray… “Sound Doctrine divides, as it should…” Romans 16:17 Living in a community where there is much doctrinal division from that which I hold as being sound doctrine from an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist, and KJV Bible perspective, I am extremely thankful, for the grace of God that has separated me unto such. I have found that those who seek to unite that do hold diverse doctrines of confusion, usually so call seek to erroneously rally around the person of the LORD Jesus Christ with their differences in doctrine laid aside. It is my position that if one is going to truly be spiritually united in and around the person of the LORD Jesus Christ, they must be united around sound doctrine of the absolute authority of Scriptures. In other words, you cannot separate the Savior LORD Jesus Christ from sound doctrinal beliefs, for Jesus came to do the will of the Father, even as we are to do seek to do the will of the Father, which is through faith and yielding to the Savior LORD Jesus Christ and sound doctrine of the will of the Father. The Apostle Paul writing the believers of Rome said: Now I beseech (plead with) you, brethren, mark (regard, consider, and take aim at) them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine (instruction, teachings) which ye have learned; and avoid (shun or separate from them) them. We are to hold true to sound doctrine that is based upon the clear spiritual understanding of contextual interpretation and application of the absolute authority of Scriptures… We are to “mark (regard, consider, and take aim at) them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine (instruction, teachings) which ye have learned”… We are to “avoid (shun or separate from them) them” that hold erroneous doctrine contrary to that which we hold as sound doctrine… We should be spiritually and scripturally separated from those who hold erroneous doctrines contrary to the following sound doctrines of the faith… The following is my doctrinal position that conveys the sound doctrinal position that I believe a believer should hold. Its content consists of unknown copied sources and my original thoughts… Believers and Independent local Church autonomy means that the individual believer and the local Church collectively are primarily subject to Jesus Christ, as their Saviour, Sovereign God, and Supreme LORD; as well as the absolute authority of the Word of God, the Bible, and are not subject to anything or anyone else when it comes to matters doctrine and daily practice. Such is a matter of responsibility and accountability, which is to be one to another, as members of their specific local Church, as we are to exhort one another unto love and good works (Hebrews 10:24). Jesus said He would build His Church (Matthew 16:18). As the builder, He is the head and LORD of the Church; in which, the Church is to be in subject to Him in everything (Ephesians 5:23-24). However, the LORD has given us and operation manual for our daily activity within and without of His local Church, which is the Bible that is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness, furnishing the believer all that they need spiritually to produce good works by faith (2 Timothy 3:15-17). As well as, the LORD Jesus Christ has given us His indwelling Spirit our: Converter to being born again of the LORD Jesus Christ John 3:5-8; Communion in worship of God John 4:21-24; Cause and effect of living water John 7:37-39; Comforter John 14:16-17; Counselor and Cue-reminder John 14:26; Conveyor of Christ John 15:26; Convictor and Corrector John 16:7-14, who always acts in accordance to the Word of God, the Bible, according to the perfect will of God in and through the unity of believers in the local church autonomy. Basic fundamental doctrinal perspective means that as an individual believer and local Church there are certain fundamental doctrines that are cardinal beliefs that should be held, by faith, before the LORD and man to be saved (salvation) as well as set apart unto God’s holiness (sanctification). For me the following are seven cardinal fundamentals of the faith and without acceptance of such being fundamental, by faith, I would stand in doubt if one is saved (However, the list here is not exhausted, but are some of the most essential from my perspective.)… • Atonement for sin through the shed blood of the Jesus Christ: Romans 5:9; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12-14; 1 Peter 1:18-19 • Both repentance and faith are necessary to experience a true salvation through the LORD Jesus Christ: Luke 13:5; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 11:1;6; 12:1-2 • Confession (including baptism) and commitment, by faith, towards the Jesus Christ, as LORD are evidence of true salvation: Romans 10:9-13 • Deity of Jesus Christ, as the incarnate God-man, the Saviour of the world: Matthew 1:18-25 • Eternal salvation is a gift of grace received, by faith, in the LORD Jesus Christ apart from any good works or law keeping: Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9 • Fundamentals of the faith, as well as all doctrine is based upon the absolute authority of the preserved Word of God, the Bible that is without error: 2 Timothy 3:15-17 • Grace and more grace must be received, by faith, for the ABCs of salvation’s progression (Assurance of eternal salvation, Believer’s victory over sin, Satan, and the solicitation of the world, and Conformity into the very likeness of the LORD Jesus Christ, as He lives His resurrected life in and through the believer.) and sanctification (This holy living through identification, by faith, with being crucified with Christ; as well as, resurrected with and through Christ unto newness of life.): Romans 3:23; 11:5-6; 1 Corinthians 15:10; Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:1-23 Baptist perspective means that a believer after conversion through repentance towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ, as their Saviour, God, and LORD (Acts 20:21) a new convert makes a public confession and identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ that pictures such through the mode of complete water immersion; whereas, the believer stands in the water pictures the confession and identification of being crucified with Christ, completely immersed in the water pictures the burial of Christ, and coming out of being completely immersed in the water pictures the resurrection of Christ, who offers eternal life, the forgiveness of sin, and newness of life, by faith, in the LORD Jesus Christ, according to the absolute authority of the Bible. Baptism is to be regarded as step of obedience and confession publically of one’s salvation experience, by faith, in the LORD Jesus Christ. It is not to be considered as essential to experience true salvation, but is one of the first essentials to be obedient to the LORD Jesus Christ, by faith: Acts 2:38; 41; 8:12,13; 36-38; 10:47-48; Romans 6:3-4 (Romans 6:3-4 contextually is referencing spiritual baptism that water baptism pictures.) Bible (KJV) perspective means that the Bible is the absolute and only authority for one as a believer for all matters of doctrine, daily practices, and daily life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17) For me and my house, we accept the King James Version (KJV) only, as the English translation that we trust as being the true revelation and translation of the preserved Word of God (Psalm 12:6-7) and the God of the Word. Such a position regarding the KJV is matter of conscious before God (Romans 14:22-23) based upon years of using such and comparing such to other translations that change or omit the truth, as we believe the Spirit of God intended it to be contextually presented and applied. We also believe the Bible is only and final authority of all matters of faith. Revelatory gifts that were active in the beginning of the NT Church have no use today and shall fail, cease, vanish away, and are done away for (8) …whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (9) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. (10) But when that which is perfect (Contextually, this is the complete revelation of the entire Bible or the complete cannon of Scripture of both OT and NT; in which, the Bible even in the translation form of the KJV is the final and only authority for faith and practice for me and my house.) Is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Are you practicing sound doctrine? Are you practicing spiritual and scriptural separation from those, who do not hold to sound doctrine? Are you being spiritually and scripturally laud to sleep in compromise that is seeded in the one world church of the false prophet and the antichrist? Are you in need to repent and come out from among those, who hold doctrines of carnality, contention, and confusion that are harming all those, who teach and hold to such? Let us pray…
