Sound of Silent River -By Bananee Satapathy Pushing the thrilling night, Opening the door of conscience, At the highest scale, Who is that cries? On the chest of the sky, I mixed it today, My sorrow and dismay, On this moment you may say. There is no need to fight To grab it in tight, It comes to me in a while On its own will. Loneliness evaporates From its figure and from image, Riding on the floating cloud, That seeks the resting mound. All my sadness and repentance Limitlessly spreads over, As by the black cloud The great sky is totally covered The scattered little stars Preferred to remain silent, They never express A word to compassionate. The surrounding indifference Fill me in such stress I forget the lines of the lyrics In His praise. I try to purify The light of envy, From pride and prejudice, To pick the love crystals, And to make a garland From wasted petals. I may guide, Do not take in pride, Throw away all your greed, Satire and laugh of the world Shall not meet your need. From the poisonous realm of Hatred and revolution, A strong sword of faith Instantly may come. I have only resource, The colourless water, I am the narrow line of Silent river, Love or hate, Kill or embrace, I do not care. (Translated by Debadarshi Nayak)
