Sounds to me as though Father Laird did the honorable thing by resigining. For nearly two decades there have been persistent suspicions that a predator is on the medical staff at Pine Ridge IHS. What will be the response of IHS administrators and medical staff, both past and current, and also OST council and health administration (also privy to those suspicions) when some poor lost soul sobers up enough to walk up from White Clay and report to OST Public Safety how his life was forever ruined by a predator who was paid a big, big salary to protect and take care of him (supposedly) when he was a minor? Will they hide behind Uncle Sam? or tribal sovereignty? or the excuse that We had no proof despite persistent and persuasive (to anyone who had ears) suggestions to the contrary? NUGE WANICE!!!!
