Soundstage Events presents this special event to mark the 30th anniversary of The Never Ending Story, released in 1984. Following a rare cinema screening of the popular fantasy film, there’ll be an onstage interview with its director of special effects, the legendary Brian Johnson. As well as The Never Ending Story, Brian Johnson’s credits include Alien, The Empire Strikes Back, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Thunderbirds and Space: 1999. He won Oscars for his work on Alien and The Empire Strikes Back, as well a BAFTA for Aliens. The exclusive interview will provide an insight into working with the likes of Stanley Kubrick, George Lucas, Ridley Scott, James Cameron and Gerry Anderson. Hosted by Lara Oheimer, the event will take place at the Genesis Cinema in London’s East End on Sunday March 9th at 3pm.
