Soundtrack Section We forgot to post one of these last week, although we were rather distracted by #Fifa 15 that weekend, so well blame #EA for that. This weeks choice is the opening theme for the original #KillerInstinct, released by #Rare in 1994, published by Midway and ported to the Super #Nintendo in 1995. It was a Nintendo console exclusive (see? They existed back then too!) and for a long time, was compared and rivaled to Street Fighter, which was the top dog for 2D fighters back then. The character design in Killer Instinct was rather impressive too, and it had a dark, eery vibe to it. As #Xbox One owners are aware, Killer Instinct introduced the massive c-c-c-c-combos, reaching insane hit counts of 64, and even included finishing move back then, although nothing quite on the same level as #MortalKombat. Music wise, the main menu theme stands out the most, unless we bring up the Killer Cuts soundtrack that came out with the game (and its black cartridge), which featured some pretty cool tunes, although far from timeless classics. For some truly awesome tunage though, check out Orchids killer cut here - youtu.be/SMS79Q1SfD4 youtu.be/avPSzGVCPH0
